Take care of yourself! That is the first lesson each of us needs to learn.
We all have so many things to do and remember. It can be hard to stay productive
while also staying mindful that your first duty is to yourself.
If you want to do good in the world then you especially need to lead by example and
honor yourself. How can people trust you to help them if you neglect yourself?
Here are three of my favorite quotes. Try them until you find your own motivators. They can be your cue
to do what you need to do to get and stay nourished.
“There are many wonderful things that will never be done if you
do not do them.” ~ Charles D. Gill
This quote always makes me smile. It states a foundational “why” – Q: why should you follow through on more of your ideas? A: because if you don’t many wonderful things will not be out in the world.
That Q and A leads to another question; What are the wonderful things you want to do and help others do?
We’ll come back to that question and explore it’s many answers again and again here at GK.com
“Be good to yourself. If you don’t take care of your body, where
will you live?” ~Kobi Yamada
For times when I consider gobbling down some salt ladened meal, just because it
would be quick and easy, this reminds me to choose food that likes me as much as I
like it. Be Good To Yourself. Four mindful words.
“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined
well.” ~Virginia Woolf
How to be a well being? – dine well. Food is such a powerful element in so many
ways. Eating well is the precursor to sleeping well which is needed in order to think
well and do well.
